I’m a Moon Child!
As I put my fingers to the keyboard, I’m finding it was easier to write my professional therapist bio than write about something as abstract and personal as this. Sometimes things synchronize in a way that you just have to go for it.
There’s a need for another approach to wellness. Something communal and integral, based on what we now understand. A new approach where one’s personal journey is traveled on multiple mediums and always with a connection to community. I’ve talked to hundreds of people behind closed doors who all have similar struggles that may look different but pull a common thread. Now is the right time to heal in community with the relational support of each other.
Jessica 2.0, or Messy Jessie, because whatever I do will not be perfect, knowing the point is to embrace imperfection, let go of external expectations, and follow my wild heart. You see, my heels have always been on the ground, and often barefoot (and no, as a hippie I’ve never used the term “earthing”). I am a creature in nature open to receiving and embracing all its beauty, power, and wisdom.
This is not for everyone, but for those of you who’ve longed to get back to your wild ways, I hear you. I see you. I’ve been running monthly Full Moon excursions for the last two years. We feel ourselves again, and feel each other’s connection, but I have only ever shared this with a small group of friends. It has been so impactful for all of us, that I feel the pull and excitement to widen my circle, share my journey, and form a sisterhood.
